My husband and I often laugh about a clip from The Wolf Of Wall Street where one of the characters is trying to get a synopsis of a television show from his wife – much to his displeasure, she begins (rather poorly) explaining, leaving out some pertinent details and classifiers. Check out the video – at 0:50, you’ll see what I mean.)=
I do this all the time! It isn’t at all that I’m not focused, or that I haven’t any clue what’s going on…or that I have the desire to befuddle your mind. My brain simply goes into “understood-you” mode where it omits what IT thinks are obvious details.
*Whispering with a cupped hand to my mouth* To anyone but my Geminian brain, most of those “obvious details” aren’t obvious at all! My thoughts race with such rapidity sometimes that I feel like my cerebrum is an F1 track. Exhausting!
Interestingly, though, there are occasions when I TRY to slow down and wind up frustrated – at times I am so excited or eager to communicate that I feel like the extra (as in: important / key) points slow me down like drag in a wind tunnel.
I also love communication so much that when I go down one path my brain (chances are) has already made about 50 other (what it thinks are relevant and exciting!) connections… Being the center-o-my-being, it has this funny way of hijacking my vocal chords whereby I being verbalizing a multitude of threads simultaneously. If you’re a Gemini, you’ll follow along nicely. If not, you’ll need to have luck in your corner, or answer to the name Sherlock.
So I came across these posts and started to laugh…
Also par for the course, I suppose…
Rather a funny image I thought. My poor husband and family! But then, what’s life if you can’t poke fun at yourself?! 😉
Halloween has always been my favorite day… As I was blessed to marry my best friend on the 29th of October last year, I now have a string of Best-Day-Evers. ❤
The happiest days of my Life…and then some.
Our custom Halloween wedding cake. ❤
I have an entire folder dedicated to the food photo bombs my husband has managed to pull off…
But…I wouldn’t have it any other way because we have SO much fun, and humor in Life and partnership is so integral.
Surround yourself with people who make you laugh, who pull you out of your comfort zone, your habits, yourself and your mind… Laugh and love, because Life is amazing when you inject a little fun.
Sometimes you just know.
That was me exactly two years ago, on a snowy March day…
I don’t really do shoutouts or updates regarding my personal status – I feel like if you know me, you know what (and who) is important. But sometimes it feels good to be as loud as you can be for the Universe, because the conversations we have internally very much reflect beyond ourselves. . .
As one year comes to a close, and another opens, I always make time for a little ritual – one in which I write down those things for which I am immensely thankful, for the things I wish to release and no longer serve me, and for all that I am hoping for.
When we envision the good as if it has already happened, miracles WILL unfold – I’ve seen it happen in my own Life in ways I cannot begin to verbally describe. But magic? Oh yes…and THEN some.
So even though I try to make it clear every day…I just wanted to say…
In more ways than language has words to express, I am thankful for his spirit and his heart, above all things. Let that be known for eternity in this realm and the next. . .
Happy holidays to all, and blessed be.
A month goes so quickly…
For a million and one reasons…and then some.
That is all.
I went downstairs to pick something up the other day, and there was a nest with Autumn flowers waiting for me, with a note from my husband to wish me a happy Thursday. . .
Since the day we met, his thoughtfulness has melted my heart – there is no gesture, large or small, that I do not appreciate fully.
Love those in your life fearlessly, and with all you have. Take any opportunity you can get to say
“I love you,” and…
“I appreciate you.”
Life is precious…and far too fleeting…not to cherish what you have in every moment.
There will not be a day so long as I breathe and live that I will not harbor an immense gratitude for everything he does, and all that he is… And there will never be a day that I stop making sure he knows. Relationships may evolve in time, but love never has to lose its vibrant aura.
