My baby girl looked a vampire with those beautiful fangs (ones which, I daresay, she bared to all but her thankful mum.) ❤
I had the painful task of helping her transition – with her permission, which I had – just under four months ago. I still cry when I think of her, and I feel a void where once her little voice sounded, but I will ever be thankful that she and I were united nearly 13 years ago – she was the closest life I had for a while.
She was, without question, my little girl, through and through…and how blessed I was she chose for me to fulfill that role for her, because wild animals DO choose. ❤
When we open our hearts to the Universe, it gives us the gift of being able to be present with others – human or otherwise – to offer our love, and to be there when friendship, compassion, trust, and mercy are needed most.
While in some ways I felt I didn’t have the right, it was a responsibility I would fulfill to the very best of my ability…for her. For my angel.
If this existed…you can be sure I’d have one. ❤
Yes, yes…that’s what I said. Ice Cream for Goth chicks.
If lactose wasn’t so vehemently opposed to my stomach, and ice cream wouldn’t so zealously affix itself to my body, I would be seeking out Little Damage Ice Cream forthwith.
I don’t *totally* get the “unicorn” craze – I can respect the love of iridescence, absolutely, but I feel like this is getting to be a little overboard. Whatever. . .I’d go crazy for black ice cream regardless, just because…but as it squashing the overwhelming barrage of rainbow swirls left and right, I have to say I’m smiling ear to ear. . .
Goth girl getting back at the illusory and evanescent concept that is the prismatic unicorn? Maybe. . . But I think it’s more directed at the onslaught of look-at-pink-and-blue-sparkly-anime-eyed-me’s.
I’m not a trend follower, though – there it is. I lean towards the caliginous so despite my personal penchant for glitter, I’d ditch it for black without a second thought.
I mean, black and red ombre?! Holy shit, I’m in heaven!!!
All I can say is these cones, black as night, and the dark-and-dreary hued ice cream is up my alley and beyond. Had this been more prevalent when I was little, you better believe I’d have had it in place of birthday cake at my parties. Too bad, five year-olds, you can deal without pink for five minutes.
The enormous smile I have in this photo was because I got in the car and realized my seatbelt intersected my vampire tee.
Indeed, scarcely humorous on the surface (or really to anyone other than myself, I fully realize!), but the juxtaposition of the “keep out!” hash mark across the biting, goth-girl-at-heart’s grin was worth a giant, sunny smile for my part. I think it was the irony.

The little things in which we can find laughter or a smile (for no great reason in particular) each day. . .keep your eyes out for more of them. OFTEN. They really are worth their weight in gold.
For Ballroom, I had to have my nails “just so” – the grooming is impeccable and it’s unheard of NOT to have gel nails (or at least ferociously long, often outlandishly wide, french manicured nails.) I opted for glittering, far more narrow tips myself…
Were I still in the sport (or perhaps even if not) I’m pretty sure I default to these unbelievable, deliciously, pointy claws.

My Martial Arts rules out such a possibility (though they could be easily utilized in Ninjutsu!) I suppose back in the day my weight lifting habit (of, now, nearly 26 years) would have also required some level of caution. . .
But still…these sharp, fresh-blood red talons are out of this world… At least to this not-so-secretly goth girl in a gi…
Just because I adore her. . .
