Holiday 2015 – Tom Ford Noir

The Tom Ford Noir Collection is inky and gilded, by the looks of it… The ad is uber dramatic, much in contrast to the site, which is neatly laid out, and seeming very “pulled together.”

I love the contrast of the pinky, nude lip with the sooty, smoky eyes…  Plus that dash of indigo!

Tom Ford’s products AREN’T on the inexpensive side, but I’ve not heard one negative word since he’s been on the beauty side of things.  The quality is there, and the packaging is impeccable.  If you are looking for a splurge and are head over heels for these colors (the colors in the ad really are fabulous for a sexy Holiday look!), then maybe this is worth the splurge!

Fall 2015 – Tom Ford

Tom Ford’s Fall 2015 Collection features four Eye and Cheek Shadows (love that this is being marketed this way, which also indicates (clearly!) that the formula is designed for wear on both! Many can be used for cheeks and eyes, but knowing that it was made with both the facial skin as well as delicate eyelids in mind, is nice to know!)

I love the look of the ombre, on the superficial, first-glance level…and, more functionally, the fact that this is a few tonal shades in one!

There are also two Brow Sculpting Kits with a trio of luscious shades, allowing for highlighting and contouring as needed.

To round out the Collection, are ten Ultra Shine Glosses (with names like Love Bruise and Lost Cherry and Sugar Pink.  Interesting.)

By the sound of it, these are not available on line, so you will have to track ’em down online.  That said, the glosses alone run a high $46 – too much of a splurge for me but if you can and want to do it…GO FOR IT!  They look lovely!

A/W 2015/16 RTW – Tom Ford (Backstage / Beauty)

Tom Ford‘s girls looked amazing…  The makeup might be a hair too much for every day, but the elements and colors were ULTRA wearable.  All the images, as with my other Show posts (unless otherwise stated!) are from http://www.style.com – they do a wonderful job!

Palettes included a whole range of far-from-bland neutrals:

  • Softened, pale pinks
  • Taupe and pink-tinged beiges
  • Bright white hilighters (I am guessing these are sheer but until I see swatches, I can’t say!) paired with pale sandy shades
  • Rusty, blushy bronze, for wearable “contour” color, added a bit of Autumnal-Summer “heat” to the mix

The eyes were the focus – these intense-neutrals really pulled out the models’ eye colors, making for a fierce gaze…or several!

Skin was clean, and appears gently matte, with concealer prepping the under eye (allowing for the colored shadows to do the work…not under eye circles! 🙂 )

And lips were softly stained, with lashes (upper and lower) and brows coated and penciled, respectively, to enhance but not take away from the smoldering shadows.

All in all, I think the “beauty” was gorgeous.  It was an interesting pairing with the “Victorianaplusbohemia” that the presented this Season, and definitely added some interest.
