The number of brands joining the cushion party is astounding…although I can’t say surprising! I’ve written countless posts about the influence of Asian skincare (here, here, here, aaaand here, as a few examples) and color cosmetics, and the trend(s) just keep forging ahead.
L’Oreal is taking a step beyond just foundations and color correction (two areas that are becoming increasingly more saturated.) Their Instagram page showed a sneak peak of six sassy, Spring-infused blush shades, suggesting that they will be rolling out worldwide shortly:
- P1 Pink Fantasy
- P2 Pink Romance
- P3 Rose Affair
- C1 Sunkissed Coral
- C2 Sunset Coral
- F1 Fuchsia Flush
The word is that they are less creamy than they are “watery,” but I think with any cushion product, you do get a lighter, sheerer texture in general. For me, that’s a nice thing because I don’t like to be heavy-handed – buildable is always a nice thing, as with such control, you can fully create the intensity you are looking for. It’s nice to have a natural, lit-from-within glow…isn’t it?
I can’t say I fully “get” the name…but that’s okay, it’s a lovely lil’ palette!
@beautyjunkies posted a sneak peek, and then a review, so check it out for more details!
The colors here are incredibly easy to wear, even if you have a makeup phobia (I know it’s hard to believe for some, but it exists!)
These shades would be amazing for a wedding, if you ask me…as much as they could work for an office party, or a night out with your man. They also would work on a wide range of skin tones, which is always a huge plus – it is a truly versatile collection.
I absolutely love these seven hues because they are timeless, classic, subdued…with enough depth to give you a sultry smoke if you want it.
The palette will be going for only $15 on Cyber Monday (November 30th), so keep it on your radar!
Rouge Bunny Rouge is precious.
“Intricate and luxurious cosmetics brand Rouge Bunny Rouge melds opulence and beauty with embellished detailing in a range of colour make-up that embraces romance and whimsy alongside modern technologies and first-class ingredients.”
The most recent newsletter featured the first of a Series of Looks, Midheaven Neon. The only time I ever wore a lip shade like this was when I was on the ballroom floor competing…but what fun it was! I kind of felt like a china doll wearing so bright a hue, and this model looks much like one herself – the image encapsulates the theme perfectly: “a classic feminine, retro-inspired Spring Look with very modern light-reflecting, light-catching textures and beaming cool colors”
The site presents a flip through book to show visitors how to achieve the Look, as well as the products used to create it. They also have a video AND a step-by-step downloadable PDF! Way to go above and beyond! 😀 The navigation is incredibly easy, and ultra straightforward – refreshing!
It is a very feminine and girly presentation all around – though I am not so much that way myself, I think they’ve done an absolutely lovely job. ❤
