2016 / 2017 – Revlon Kiss Balm

I’m sure it’s clear from my countless posts that I’m one of those lip balm types.  I don’t like heavy color, and I LOVE flavor!  (I’m basically a kid in a 38 + year-old form. 😉 )

Revlon has a bunch of items coming out (some already seen in-store) – Nouveaucheap shares a selection of images on her blog, so allow me to share for those of you interested in newness.

I’m not sure if these are really pigmented or what (my favorite “type” is always PH, self-adjusting…like Dior or the new BabyLips from Maybelline.)  Still, they’re named with flavors so I hope they are delicious!

Halloween – Lip Smacker

I’m a total balm girl – I don’t wear lipstick (save for when I was performing in Ballroom Dancing or Figure Skating) and I love flavor! I also – no grand surprise – adore Halloween.

When Halloween items crop up in stores, suddenly I want to buy everything…including limited edition Lip Smackers, designed with the holiday AND Disney Villains in mind.  As the kind of girl who prefers to be Maleficent at five years-old and NOT the Princess, no shocker here!

Lip Smacker has a bunch of fun Fall flavors but I hope I find the same setup Musingsofamuse did! I’ll snatch up all of them as fast as Jack Skellington did Christmas!

Summer 2016 – MAC Collections

There are a whole bunch of Summer Collections coming out from MAC, all of which several bloggers have announced in the last few weeks – sharing Temptalia’s thorough posts below.

Fashion Pack combines bright and bold shades and will be available one June 9th (online) and in-store one the 23rd.

“Lead the way with a new wave of front-row worthy hues. Fuchsia, violet, emerald, deepest plum, midnight…ready to wear, any way we dare! So, be a doll and show us how — the Fashion Pack is always in the know.”

Soft Serve focuses on the eyes, and pastel-based, crease proof hues.

“Feast on servings of new M∙A∙C Soft Serve Shadow featuring a unique, bouncy texture, and Dare Hue! Brow Pencil. Delectable Soft Serve shades each layer smoothly onto the lid with buildable colour that’s long-wearing, non-creasing and simple delicious.”

The MAC x Brandt Brothers has a modern, hip vibe to it…

“Peter and Harry Brant, the young bon vivants of New York society, are the current toast of the fashion scene. Now, M∙A∙C teams up with them in a modern collection of products for the face, brows, eyes and lips.”

While Vibe Tribes taps your inner bohemian…

“Lose control in lips painted reckless shades of red and coral, or a flash of gold. Let your eyes escape reality in teal, cobalt mandarin and charcoal, as free-spirited nails glisten in succulent tangerine and the perfect, buttery nude with M∙A∙C Vibe Tribe. Join the tribe. Feel the vibe.”

Tendertalk pairs color with technology, for a personalized hue all your own.  I love that, as it reminds me of my favorite (Dior) balm.

“Awaken to a sweet new sensation: Tendertalk Lip Balm, a smart lip conditioner that creates a personalized tint based on your chemistry. Combining nourishing skincare and technology, this perfect lip transformer helps keep lips soft and moisturized while intuitively offering the right hint of color.”

Spring / Summer 2016 – Maybelline Baby Lips Pop Art

I’m a balm kind of girl and Baby Lips in Cherry is one of my go-tos.  I’ve sort of stuck with that flavor (and tint), but it’s always fun to see new ones come out!

The most recent are the Pop Art Collection – three shades, and so far I only see them overseas (I’m in the USA.)  Flavors include:

Superdrug UK image

As with all Baby Lips, these offer 8 hours of hydration and a barely-there hint of color.  I haven’t found the flavor to be overwhelmingly noticeable – or sweet (which actually, I love about Smackers! 🙂 ) – but it isn’t unpleasant at all.  I’m curious to hear whether these are more pronounced…

J.Cat At Ulta

Ulta has added yet another new brand to its already-hefty list (yay!)  – J.Cat is a new company…as in it was launched just three years ago in 2012.  It’s aim is to provide “quality fashion forward products with not just vivacious colors, but also provide skin benefit elements in each collection.”

I’ll be honest, I’m not incredibly familiar with J. Cat, but it certainly looks like a wonderfully fun product line!  The colors are incredibly happy and young, but it is so affordable that even if you aren’t generally saucy, you might splurge on a whim!

Maybelline Winter Delight Baby Lips

Screen Shot 2015-10-12 at 9.42.28 AMI don’t really wear lipstick… I’m a balm kind of girl!  When Maybelline’s Baby Lips came out, I snatched up a few in cherry…and I have been buying them since.

Some of you may have seen that a few new Autumn / Winter editions, included in Maybelline’s “Winter Delight” Collection have been spotted – some in the UK, at Superdrug, and in the USA, at a Bed, Bath & Beyond.

When I read “Sugar Cookie” and “Sweet Apple” I got a little jealous.  There is also a “Hot Cocoa” (omg, yum!) at Superdrug apparently as an exclusive, and a “Mint Candy.”

There also appear to be some Dr. Rescue nail products, but I haven’t found better info yet!

I recently moved and there isn’t a Bed, Bath & Beyond + Harmon nearby (insert disgruntled look!) so it isn’t as likely I will find them here.  But..that won’t stop me from snooping!!!  😉

*UPDATES:

  • GREAT post and swatches from BudgetBeautyBlog. Note that some of the names are different – I will go with hers!
  • Also, the nail products are overseas, so if you are in the UK, you are more familiar than I am!  Thank you to Lou for filling me in! 🙂

Clinique Sweet Pots

Well, I don’t have a ton of info on these cutie Sweet Pots (a duo lip scrub and balm) as yet – the only info I found was for the Trademark!

But they look precious, and Clinique is a great brand, so I’m looking forward to seeing more!
