I’ve touched on the “eye contour” trend with an earlier post, Estee Lauder Shape + Sculpt. It is not that it isn’t valid as an idea – it IS…and it can make a nice difference!
But…keep in mind that you can most certainly achieve this with many of the eye shadows and products you already own. A palette puts them all in one place, but often a “nudes” or “browns” or “neutrals” palette will give you the same thing!
Sephora recently posted a video about how to achieve this – and visual tutorials are always a wonderful thing. 🙂
It’s quite simple, and won’t take too much…but on days you may want to define your beautiful eyes just a little bit more, these tips will come in handy.
A few images of M.A.C.’s Spring 2016 Trend Forecast Palettes have been out and about in the last few days, and they remind me a lot of my color and trend work (anyone familiar with Pantones?! 🙂 ) from my Fashion days.
You can purchase the goodies online at M.A.C. for $40:
“From London to Milan, SS16’s most-talked-about colour trends are now available in limited-edition lip and eye palettes, each with six shades. Be sure to add a touch of glamour to your look with our new gold shade of Studio Eye Gloss.”
The Spring Lip Palette ranges “from pale peach to deep wine.”
The Eye Palette is composed of the “most-talked-about shades of creamy shadows, from saffron to deep berry.”
To add to the fun, the Money Honey eye gloss “provides high shine with buildable coverage” in a “true yellow gold metallic glitter.” Sass-y!
I love the colors – Feel a bit more Autumn to me but…loving them all the same!
I swear Ulta has been growing a mile a minute, adding snazzier, several European, and now Asian brands. It’s awesome, frankly – makes it a heck of a lot easier to get our paws on our favorite need-(but-hard)-to-track-down goodies!
Eye masks, check.
Snail creams, yes…
Super fun packaging, and skin-pampering fabulousness? CHECK.
Tony Moly is one of the more recent adds (and there I was excited I could get it at Urban Outfitters!)
I’m just so thrilled – eBay has been a terrific resource over the years for such things, but the prospect that we *might* have the opportunity to try or at least pick up in our hands, is a truly wonderful thing.
Additional photos, and more swatches, have posted of the NARS Autumn / Winter 2015 Collection! Thank you to Phyrra.net for posting a comprehensive image with the pieces…the backstage runway photos weren’t quite as easy to see!
I think my favorite is actually the VIP Red lipstick – a brick red with some serious impact!
The Velvet Shadow Sticks look to be nicely pigmented as well, and have a slight multi-faceted-ness to the coloring. Phyrra lists the shades and more images!
The Dual Intensity Shadows are also gorgeous, boasting trickster, angle-shifting shades…which would make for quite the softly and sultry gaze!
I have heard mixed reviews of the Tribulation Blush, as it is so fair it makes an almost too-subtle statement…even as a highlight. Makeupandbeautyblog does share more images!
The palette overall feels wonderfully Autumnal, and incredibly wearable!
