Ever building on the Touche Eclat empire, YSL will be launching the coveted glow-getting formula in a new format for Spring 2017. Yep, you guessed it…a cushion. LE Cushion, to be exact. 😉 The product will be offered in 7 shades designed to enhance radiance with natural coverage.
In addition to that exciting news, the Company is also brining in three Touch Eclat Glow Shots, a highlighter boasting the hefty promise of a 10-hour strobe effect AND ultra hydration, via hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and Ruscus. Glow Shots will come in 3 shades:
- No.1 Daylight – Create a reflective, mirror effect (light skin tones)
- No.2 Sunrise – Create a rosy glow (light skin tones)
- No.3 Sunset – Create a healthy glow (medium to dark skin tones)
And…one more dashing add…the YSL Touche Eclat White, Limited Edition. I’m already chomping at the bit for this one because a “porcelain effect” is like music to my goth-y ears… It can be used for adding a beautiful sheen, or for more extreme strobe and contour effects.
There have been a few variants of this product, I feel like, though only one that I recall in the USA., Instant Pore Eraser.
Instant Fatigue Blur, a water-based, hydrating primer, has launched overseas (can be found at Boots online, for one!) I swore that I posted about Maybelline Baby Skin Pink Transformer a good while ago, which feels similar, but I can’t seem to find the post!
This item comes in Apricot and Rose, which offer some minor color correction – I’m guessing, though, that these are sheer, so if you need coverage, this may just be a primer step to blur pores, with something applied over it.
Following not he heels of easy-to-use, portable, and multi-tasking products, Lancome is offering its Teint Idole Ultra Stick. The formula is designed to offer 24-hour wear with high coverage, high pigmentation, weightlessness, smooth application, and a matte finish.
I love that it’s non-comedogenic (that’s always a make or break in my book), and that it is transfer-resistant – as an active girl, that works wonders for me!
“…This foundation’s innovative extreme long-wearing formula gives all skintones a flawless, complexion-perfecting coverage all day. Its ultra-lightweight, powder-cream texture glides and blends on smoothly and flawlessly, covering imperfections while leaving a traceless, second-skin look. Formulated with broad spectrum SPF 21 for sun protection, it contains porous polymers that absorb excess acne-producing oils, leaving the skin looking mattified and pore- and shine-free. Transfer-resistant and smudge-resistant, it’s infused with ambora extract, which helps to reduce the appearance of redness, making it suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. This oil-free, pigment-rich makeup stick can be used as a concealer, and it glides on easily for custom contouring or highlighting. Perfectly portable, it can be used for touch ups on the go.”
Honestly…it sounds pretty amazing! I don’t traditionally love Lancome’s shades, but I’d be willing to check them out given the lovely – albeit lofty – claims!
MAC’s new Foundation is available on the MAC website, and will be rolling out shortly to stores (December 26th.) Per the site, this product is intended to be imperceptible, and as real as an individual’s skin tone. It looks a lot like the cushion foundations that have been emerging (taking a cue from Asian products still – love it! 🙂 )
“Its innovative cushion and sheer liquid formula lends true-to-life shade perfection and coverage, while letting your natural skin show through. A cutting-edge delivery system allows the formula to be released in a superfine layer, providing a natural finish and sheer to medium buildable coverage. Launching with a spectrum of 12 light to deep dark shades, and debuting with the new 197SH Duo Fibre Square Brush and Matchmaster Concealer.”
I’m not 100% sure if this comes with a sponge, but the duo-fiber brush (MAC 197SH) is available for $35 if you want the extra tool for the kit. It’s a nice, squared off shape that can navigate around the face for seamless coverage.
The name is quite the mouthful but it seems to be worthy of whatever length Armani chooses, based on the word of mouth! Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Nourishing Fusion Makeup Bi-Phase Elixir SPF30 is the newest to the Armani foundations, and will be launching in February, 2016 online.
Many thanks to ReallyRee for sharing more information about it, as well as her review, since there isn’t as much out there yet! The benefits of this newbie – gorgeous glow aside – includes:
- Nourishing bi-phase formula
- Super light texture
- Perfecting buildable coverage
- Like original Maestro it is free from water
- High concentration of nourishing oils
- 3 oils released over time and composed like notes of a fragrance
- Non-oily effect
- NASA technology enables the absorption of excess oils
- Leaves skin feeling supple
- SPF30 for daily protection
- 9 shades
Given the incredible, global success of the other formulations – AND their always-gracing-It-Lists status, I’d say this is worth checking out. They aren’t inexpensive but a little does go a long way. I haven’t tried them myself simply because I am active every day – while they are purportedly divine, I’d feel badly sweating it off so quickly…or getting it all over someone else’s gi!
I was excited to see some of the new Neutrogena Spring 2016 products on Ulta! The first of these is the SkinClearng Complexion Perfector (probably the product I was most excited about personally.)
Per the site, the Perfector:
- Fights acne and provides even coverage to help correct skin’s complexion
- Blends naturally with your skin to instantly blur the look of acne and minimize appearance of pores
- Matte finish controls shine
- Won’t clog pores, hypoallergenic
- Dermatologist tested
I love products with Salicylic acid because as an athlete, sweat is a sure thing! Salicylic acid helps to exfoliate the skin, keeping it clear – for me, just a wash isn’t enough (I actually use a body wash as well since rolling on mats in a heavy gi is bad news for skin and pores!)
Next up is the Healthy Skin Anti-Aging Perfector. This “moisturizing retinol treatment with sunscreen” offers sheer coverage and an easy blend. Per the site:
- Instantly erases the look of imperfections
- Smooths out skin’s texture and reduces the appearance of fine lines
- Gives skin a natural, dewy finish
- Dermatologist tested
To round of the newbies is the Spring 2016 MoistureSmooth Color Stick. The colors include:
- Classic Nude
- Pink Nude
- Almond Nude
- Berry Brown
- Wine Berry
- Pink Grapefruit
- Cherry Pink
- Deep Plum
And benefits include:
- Twist-up color; no sharpener needed
- Lips feel moisturized for hours
- Dermatologist tested
There are a few posts about this…and the suggestion it *might* come to the USA (that would be tremendous! Not that I NEED anything else, but why not HAVE it! 😉 )
L’oreal’s Lumi Cushion is launching in Canada in January 2016 with a price tag – $29.99 CAN – that feels steep for their generally more affordably-priced color cosmetic products.
The word is that the Lumi Cushion aims for a “natural, luminous and air-light coverage” – barely-there is always a plus, provided whatever specialty particles (aren’t they always specialty particles!?) can cover and correct. Most formulations these days manage to do both – give flawless coverage, with an extremely light feel.
Lumi Cushion also boasts a purportedly high water content, which always gives a nod to the “hydration” direction (great for Autumn and Winter!)
So again…not sure about the USA, but it’s a possibility. If it is well-received, I’d imagine we will be seeing it. If not…eBay! 😉 Wait…did I say that?!
