A/W 2015/16 RTW – Trussardi

Loved Gaia Trussardi‘s Collection (ever grateful to www.style.com for the great photos – all theirs!)  I actually have Type O Negative playing and I’m not entirely sure gothic metal suits it…but oh well!

Her color palette was super wearable, and honestly, so were the textures and pieces!  I didn’t totally “see” the “militaristic” that others did (it was barely-there, I felt), but definitely the 80’s hints (for example, in the high-foldover-waists and gathered, carrot-top pant shapes)…as well as the obvious minimalism.

A key feature, here, was the ultra-thin, super high quality leather used – while I’m not watching the girls walk in it, it’s clearly following the body incredibly well, and looks quite comfortable!

The primary shade….or shades, plural…were ridiculously-delicious chocolates.  From milk to dark to buttermilk ganache – GORGEOUS.  The mixture of browns was especially exquisite, making the pieces far from humdrum.  I loved the brown and grey pairings as well – slightly less expected, and uber chic.

The nudes were pulled off perfectly – normally I’d steer away from the grey-pink casts with a flesh tone, but it worked (check it out mixed with the creamy beige booties and peach sweater!)  I love being pleasantly surprised. 🙂  Creamier beiges…almost antique ivory in hue, looked amazing with the hazelenut-burdgundy lip gloss and rusty eye shadows the models were wearing!  I also loved the light tan with grey and brown.

Greys ranged from paler and icy, to cooler smokes, charcoal, and glittering, nighttime grey.  All beautiful, whether as a sweater knit, crisp-but-supple leather, or wool.  Again, the mixture of several at once was really lovely.

Blacks were matte shine, making for a more subdued, but still solid impact…

And the greens were gorgeous.  Here the range was broad – from Persian to pine to dark olive and forest, all in mixtures, making for a lot of interest.

The ultra luxurious liquid bronze, and matte-shine antique golds added a whole other layer of coolness to the Collection – loved.

To top it all off, Gaia came out in a stunning pair of soft, black leather pants and a half-tucked ice grey sweater – super comfy, super chic, SUPER adorable!
